The idea for the Children's Enchanted Cottage came from my nine year old son, Frankie, who refers to the famous brick alley behind the store as Daigon Alley"
says Laurie, proprietor of Crow Haven Corner, Inc. "Several people had approached me about leasing the cottage which looks as though it came straight out of a Harry Potter movie.
"During one of the many times my son was with me at work, we had one of our magickal talks about what he wanted to be when he grew up. In this particular instance he said, "Mom,
I'm going to make that cottage at the end of Diagon Alley, my magickal shop." I then asked, "What would you sell?" he said "Harry Potter products as well as my own favorite magickal items".
He again reminded me of how much the cottage looks like one in Harry Potter movies.
The Children's Magickal Cottage is focused on Magickal items for children. In addition to Magic Wands and Crystal Balls, the shop will sell magickal hats for children, Pocket Dragon collectibles,
Folkmania puppets, and many other magical kits designed for children. As previously quoted in the news, Laurie states "The theme of the Harry Potter movies is that if you hate you will fail, that it is okay for children to use thier psychic ability,
and that love is the most powerful magic of all".
The hours for the Childrens Magickal Cottage are 10:00am - 6:00pm every day during the Halloween season. To celebate this grand opening, pumpkin magic, and other seasonal activites will
be going on at the end of the Alley, which leads from Essex Street to the Cottage.
